Corpus Christi

Medical Team Description

Corpus Christi Catholic Church has a Medical Team that was established in 2016.  This Medical Team is made up of Doctors, Nurses, EMT’s, as well as non-medical personnel.  It is our intent that professional help will be present at all Masses.

In case of a medical emergency, the Medical Team Members will help the Parishioner and call for an Ambulance.  They will stay with the Parishioner and help until the Ambulance arrives.  The Medical Team Members are qualified in the use of various medical devices, including an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).  The AED unit is located in the Narthex, hanging on the wall and the medical supplies are inside the cabinet, near the wall of the AED unit.

Medical Team members sign in on a clipboard at the main entrance of the Church, in the Narthex, when they come to Mass. The ushers know to check the clipboard and if an emergency occurs, the Ushers will notify the medical team and coordinate other assistance that may be required.

The Medical Team Members supply the medical items and make sure that the medical bag is always filled with needed supplies.

We are blessed to have a dedicated Medical Team,  supplies, and medical equipment in case of a medical emergency.
